Ardahan Breaks Low Temperature Record in Türkiye

Ardahan, where the air temperature drops to -32 degrees at night, has become Türkiye’s coldest province this year.

“Thermometers showed minus 28 degrees in the morning. The trees were covered in frost and icicles formed on the roofs. But we are used to living in this geography. It was not like this before. The climate has changed now,” said Ufuk Ürker, a local.

Experts say that the Siberian cold will continue for a few more days and that locals, especially drivers, should be careful and take precautions against possible negativities as frost and fog are expected.
