Arin Lake, home of dozens of bird species, drying up

In Türkiye, located in the Adilcevaz district of Bitlis, Arin Lake, with an area of ​​1657 hectares and an altitude of 1650 meters above sea level, was home to dozens of bird species with its unique view. 40 percent of the Arin Lake had dried up, where dozens of bird species live. Headman of Göldüzü Village, Halis Oruçlu, said, “Lake Arin is gradually drying up due to unconscious agricultural irrigation. If the Arin Lake dies out, which hosts a unique landscape and dozens of bird species, we will also die out.”
