Armed attack on bank in Lebanon

In the city of Sidon in southern Lebanon, an army officer attacked the bank by shooting the glass door at the entrance after arguing with a bank employee about not being allowed to enter the bank. No one was killed or injured, and the gunman was taken into custody.

Raids and hostage-taking incidents in banks became more frequent after the restrictions on withdrawals due to the economic crisis that has been going on in Lebanon since 2019.
