The separatist organization Balochistan Liberation Army carried out an armed attack on Gwadar Port, located in Pakistan’s Balochistan province, which is of key importance for the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, which is part of China’s Belt and Road Initiative. Security forces managed to repel the attack and neutralize eight attackers. Pakistani media reported that one person among the Pakistani security forces was killed and several others were injured.
