An arrest warrant has been issued for the attacker who reprimanded two women for not wearing headscarves and poured yoghurt on their heads in a dairy market in Iran. The prosecutor’s office of Torkebe city stated that an investigation was launched against the attacker for “disrupting public order” and against the two women for “not complying with the headscarf rule in society.” In addition, the market owner was warned for serving the two women.
After the death of 22-year-old Iranian Mahsa Amini, who died after being detained by the morality police for violating the headscarf rules in September last year, anti-regime protests started across the country, and numerous women started going out without a headscarf, objecting to the mandatory headscarf law.
