At Least 14 Dead in Bosnia Floods

Heavy rains in central and southern Bosnia and Herzegovina have triggered severe floods, leaving 14 dead in Jablanica. The flooding has cut off access to several areas, disrupted electricity, and blocked roads. Prime Minister Nermin Niksic called the situation “very serious” with many people trapped in their homes.

Rescue efforts are underway in Jablanica and Kiseljak, with the Bosnian army joining the response. Telecommunications and transportation in the Neretva Canton have been severely impacted, and authorities have advised against travel to the affected areas. Neighboring Croatia also experienced heavy rain and flooding in some regions.
