At least 3 died after passenger train derailed in India

At least 4 wagons of the Guwahati-Bikaner passenger train underway near the town of Domohani in the Indian state of West Bengal derailed near the New Domohani railway station. Rescue teams and ambulances dispatched on the scene. According to local officials, at least 3 passengers lost their lives and many people were trapped in the train wagons in the accident that occurred around 5:00 PM local time. After the accident, some passengers got out of the wagons by their own means. Rescue efforts are continuing, while an investigation has launched regarding the accident. Railway officials stated that due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, none of the wagons departed at full capacity.
