At least 7 died, 15 injured after fire erupted in 20-storey building in Mumbai

A fire broke out in the early hours of the morning in a 20-storey building located near the Bhatia Hospital in Mumbai, the capital of the Indian state of Maharashtra. At least 7 people lost their lives and 15 were injured in the fire that broke out on the 18th floor of the Kamala building in Nana Chowk area in the city’s Tardeo district. According to local officials, 5 of them died at Nair Hospital, 1 died at Bhatia Hospital, and 1 person died at Kasturba Hospital. 13 firefighters and 5 ambulances for possible injuries were sent to the scene to respond to the fire, which the Mumbai fire brigade categorized it as a Level 3 fire. Firefighting and rescue efforts are continuing.
