Atmospheric River Storm Claims 9 Lives in California

 

The death toll in California rises to 9 as the persistent atmospheric river storm wreaks havoc across the state. The severe weather pattern has led to storms, floods, and landslides, significantly impacting daily life. According to the California Emergency Management Office, 9 fatalities have been reported due to storm-related incidents. These include 4 deaths caused by falling trees, 3 in traffic accidents, 1 from a vehicle being dragged into a canal, and 1 during an attempt to cross a river. Los Angeles officials note 475 landslides and around 400 fallen trees in the nation’s second most populous city.
