Australia Battles Against Floods after Heavy Rain

Heavy rainfall caused severe floods in Australian state of New South Wales. Authorities said 72 rescue operations were carried out in Sydney, the country’s largest city, and 4,128 emergency calls were made across the state in 24 hours. It was said that 152 people were rescued from flood waters. New South Wales Premier Chris Minns said at the press conference that water levels continue to rise in some rivers, especially in western Sydney.
