Australia Revokes Visa Of Israeli Influencer Over Hate Speech

Australia has revoked the visa of Israeli social media influencer Sammy Yahood over anti-Islam content, citing concerns about hate speech. Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke said entering the country requires a right visa, adding, “Spreading hatred is not a right reason to come.” Yahood said his visa was canceled after he described Islam as an “abominable ideology” and claimed he was blocked from boarding a flight to Australia. The decision drew criticism from the Australian Jewish Association, which condemned the move by Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s government.
