On Saturday, an avalanche buried a group of nomads grazing their livestock in Pakistan’s northern Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) province. Ten individuals were killed, while another ten were injured. Authorities have been searching for other casualties beneath the debris.
Authorities said the avalanche was caused by torrential rains that had been falling for many days.
