Avalanche Hits Nepal’s Annapurna, Climbers Escape Unharmed

An avalanche struck Mount Annapurna in Nepal’s Gandaki region, sending climbers running for safety. Footage captured by mountaineers showed snow cascading down the slopes toward the base camp at around 4,100 meters, destroying tents and creating near-zero visibility.

No casualties were reported. Annapurna, one of the world’s most dangerous peaks, is notorious for its unpredictable weather and treacherous terrain.
