Due to an avalanche that occurred in the Nathu La Mountain Pass in the state of Sikkim in northeastern India, six people died and thirty were injured. Search and rescue teams stated that the people who lost their lives were tourists. Teams are looking for at least 70 people who were stranded in the region.
