Avian flu outbreak in France

As the temperatures dropped, new cases of bird flu were confirmed by France. More than 330,000 poultry have been slaughtered in French farms since August 1st. Twenty-four cases have been confirmed since last Friday.

The farm brand, Vendee, said that their assumption on the contamination is that the virus might have been contaminated by wild birds.

Regulated protection and surveillance zones have been built by local authorities to stop the spread of avian flu.
