A commemoration ceremony was held in Ganja, Azerbaijan for the victims of the Second Karabakh War. Governor of Ganja Niyazi Bayramov, Azerbaijan Prosecutor General’s Office, Azerbaijan Presidency, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ganja Police Department officials, diplomats and Azerbaijani citizens visited the area where the missile fell and left carnations. During the ceremony, Deputy Attorney General Elchin Mammadov said that 87 criminal cases have been opened against Armenia for war crimes.
Ganja Governor Bayramov, on the other hand, stated that the city of Ganja went through hard times during the 2nd Karabakh War, which lasted for 44 days, and said, “The enemy targeted civilians in Ganja with missile attacks. In the attacks, 26 civilians lost their lives and 142 were injured. I wish God’s mercy on our martyrs and a speedy recovery to the wounded.”
