Azerbaijan Pledges Continued Gas Supply

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev announced the country’s natural gas exports are projected to surpass 24 billion cubic meters this year at the opening ceremony of the 29th International Caspian Oil and Gas Exhibition. The event, held in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, is considered the leading energy industry gathering in the region.

President Aliyev highlighted Azerbaijan’s role as a reliable natural gas supplier in his opening remarks. The exhibition, which falls under the umbrella of Baku Energy Week, brings together nearly 300 companies from 37 countries. Major participants include SOCAR, BP, Total, and Turkish firms like BOTAŞ and Tekfen Construction.

Established in 1994, the Caspian Oil & Gas Exhibition has grown significantly, according to Aliyev. “Baku Energy Week now encompasses the entire energy spectrum – oil, gas, refining, exports, and even green energy,” he said.
