Cahit Bağcı, the Turkish Ambassador to Baku, announced that Azerbaijan sent 1,541 tons of humanitarian aid for the earthquake victims in Türkiye. Stating that all Azerbaijani state institutions were mobilized from the first minute of the earthquake, Ambassador Bağcı said, “Brother Azerbaijan, without waiting for our country’s call for international assistance, took action upon President Ilham Aliyev’s instructions.”
“I would like to thank each and every one of our brothers who have contributed, put effort in, and worked day and night during this period. We thank you with our hearts. We have witnessed and experienced once again that we are truly one nation, that we are one heart,” said Bağcı, stating that Azerbaijan sent a first aid plane within 6 hours of the earthquake and sent hundreds of personnel during the search and rescue efforts that lasted for days.
