Azerbaijani and Turkish mine sweeping teams continue working in Karabakh

In a statement released by Azerbaijan Ministry of Defense, it’s been indicated that mine sweeping and engineering works are  continuing in Karabakh to ensure the security in region, to demine the roads, and to construct new supply lines towards positions of Azerbaijani troops in mountainous and difficult to pass regions. It’s been stated that in the last 10 days, 342 land mine located and 96,7 hectares of land demined in the liberated areas from the invasion. It’s been recorded that a total of 13,273 hectares of land have been demined, 628 kilometers of roads have been laid, 17,202 mines and unexploded ordnance have been found and disposed by engineering and fortification units in the liberated areas to date. Also it’s been stated that, Mechanical Mine Sweeping Equipment’s (MEMATT), which manufactured by Military Factory and Shipyard Management (ASFAT) affiliated to Turkey Ministry Of National Defence, are being used in the clearance of mines and unexploded ordnance in residential areas and farmlands.
