Azerbaijani climate activists closed the Lachin Corridor on December 12, 2022, alleging that the mines in the region were operating illegally. The activists have continued their action for 134 days.
The Lachin Corridor, the only land route between the Armenian-populated part of Nagorno-Karabakh and Armenia, has been under Russian Peacekeeping Forces authority since 2020.
