Taxi drivers demonstrated against transportation platforms such as Free Now, Uber, and Bolt, believing that the current fare system is under threat. Taxis gathered around Plaça d’Espanya square and drove slowly to the Catalan parliament.
In addition, during the protest, another transportation app offered free trips to users as a form of counter-protest against the taxi sector in the country.
