Barge Crashes Into Bridge in USA

A giant barge crashed into the piers of the Pelican Island Bridge, which is the island’s only land connection, in the city of Galveston in the southeast of Texas, USA, at around 10:00 local time for an unknown reason. Authorities stated that the bridge was damaged and an oil leak occurred. The US Coast Guard team began working to prevent and clean up the leak. Two crew members who fell into the water were rescued.

On March 26, 6 people died when a cargo ship crashed into the Francis Key Bridge in Baltimore, Maryland.
