bartın coasts polluted by floodwaters

Flood waters caused the Bartın River in Türkiye’s Bartın province to overflow over the weekend, leading to widespread flooding in the city and turning the Bartın coasts a muddy color. The waves carried waste materials back to shore, leading to pollution along the 3-kilometer stretch of İnkumu Beach. As a result, swimming was prohibited in the area for three days following the flood.
