In Iran, the government’s removal of subsidies for basic food supplies has led to a rise in flour and oil prices. The people of Tehran flocked into the grocery stores before the price hike for food supplies. In the images obtained, it was seen that the people competed with each other to buy oil on the market shelves.
The government, on the other hand, announced in a statement that there would be no price increases for any food item except flour, oil, pasta, sugar and wheat.
