Bengisu Avcı Becomes First Turkish Athlete to Complete Ocean’s 7

Bengisu Avcı, an ultramarathon swimmer, made history by becoming the first Turkish athlete and the 38th in the world to complete the “Ocean’s 7” course. Avcı swam across Japan’s Tsugaru Strait in a 14-hour challenge, facing strong currents to reach Hokkaido Island. The “Ocean’s 7” consists of seven open-water channels, including previous swims across the English Channel and Catalina Strait.
