Biden Apologizes to Zelensky for Aid Delivery Delay

US President Joe Biden attended the meeting with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky in Paris after official ceremonies to mark the 80th anniversary of the Normandy Landing in France. Speaking about the delay in military aid packages to Ukraine, Biden apologized to Zelensky for the delay, caused by a disruption in the US Congress, and signed an additional package of $ 225 million to help Ukraine restructure its electricity network.

“It is very important that the United States and all American people stand by Ukraine, as they did during World War II. The United States helped save human lives and helped save Europe. We count on your continued support for us,” Zelensky said.
