Aldabra Tortoise Tuki, the oldest member of the Faruk Yalçın Zoo located in Kocaeli city of Turkey, becomes the focus of attention of the visitors with its appearance and giant size. The giant Aldabra Tortoise Tuki, who was born 3 years before the proclamation of the Turkish Republic, has stepped into its 102nd birthday. Tuki’s caretakers prepared a beautiful birthday cake by blending the Tuki’s favorite green vegetables and surprised it. Seeing the surprise of its caretakes, Tuki came to the tray and ate the birthday cake prepared for him with pleasure. Meanwhile Musa Duran, who has been the caretaker of Tuki at the Faruk Yalçın Zoo for 10 years, stated that the tortoise eats an average of 6-7 kilograms of greenery per day and that Aldabra tortoises can live for about 250 years.
