Frank Tyson, a 53-year-old black man who was wanted for being involved in a traffic accident on April 18 and was later found in a bar, died due to police’s use of excessive force while detaining him in the Canton region of Ohio, USA. The officer, who put pressure on Tyson with his knee for 30 seconds even though he said he couldn’t breathe, was suspended pending investigation.
George Floyd, who died in a similar way in the USA in 2020, was unable to breathe due to the police putting pressure on his neck for 9 minutes and 29 seconds.
