Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was stabbed multiple times by an intruder at his Mumbai residence. The 54-year-old suffered injuries to his neck, spine, and hand. He underwent surgery to remove a knife lodged in his spinal cord and repair spinal fluid leakage. Doctors confirmed he is now out of danger and recovering.
Police suspect the assailant, who fled the scene, was a thief. A female staff member was also injured in the attack and is receiving medical treatment. Authorities are continuing their search for the perpetrator.
Khan, known for his roles in over 70 films, remains a prominent figure in Indian cinema.
