‘Bombogenesis’ snowstorm covers US east coast in white

The “Bombogenesis” snowstorm, which hit the east coast of the United States, shut down several roads and caused power disruptions. The snow depth in Massachusetts reached up to 75 centimeters, and around 80,000 people were left without power. Despite the warnings, people went out following the snowfall that blanketed prominent tourist destinations such as Times Square. While the kids were sledding in Central Park, numerous individuals in Washington Square Park were having snowball fights.

The governors of New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Rhode Island and Virginia on Saturday declared a state of emergency in the country, warning residents to stay off the roads for their own safety.
