A technical problem occurred during Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva’s flight back to his country after he attended the inauguration ceremony for the new Mexican president Claudia Sheinbaum. According to the Brazilian Air Force, Silva’s plane, Airbus A319, needed to consume enough fuel to land safely. Accordingly, authorities kept the plane airborne for 5 hours. Following the long delay, the plane landed at Felipe Angeles Airport in Mexico City at 19:16 local time without any problems.
