Brothers Released by Israel Reunite with Their Family in Gaza Strip

Ibrahim and Musa Al-Sarahneh, two brothers who were released from Ofer Prison in the West Bank after 23 years, returned to their home in Deheishe Refugee Camp in Bethlehem in the Gaza Strip and reunited with their mother, who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease as a result of their son’s arrest, and father, while their other brother Khalil, who was also a prisoner, was deported to Egypt after the 6th prisoner swap between Israel and Hamas yesterday.

“We are happy to see Palestine, our family and friends. Prisoners in the occupation prisons live in a bad situation,” said Ibrahim Al-Sarahnah, also mentioning that guards tortured them before their release.

“Despite the fact that my husband’s brother was deported to Egypt, my joy is great and indescribable. My children were young when my husband was arrested. I was both a mother and a father and it was a very difficult task,” said Ibrahim Al-Sarahnah’s wife, Marwat Al-Sarahnah.
