Brown bears in Türkiye unable to hibernate due to effects of climate change

Researchers from Bartın University (BARU) Forestry Faculty Forest Engineering in Türkiye carried out wildlife observation and research studies. They used camera traps to study the population sizes and behavioral characteristics of wild mammals in different areas and ecosystems. The camera captured a pair of roe deer, a wildcat, a fox, a jackal and a brown bear. It was determined that the brown bears were unable to hibernate due to climate change and the temperature being above the seasonal average.
