Building Fire in South Korea: 40 Rescued

A fire broke out in an 8-story building housing shops and apartments in Seongnam, South Korea, at 4:37 PM local time. Firefighters, with 80 trucks on-site, quickly evacuated 50 people and rescued 40 trapped inside.

Twelve individuals suffering from smoke inhalation were hospitalized. Authorities reported that the fire originated in a restaurant kitchen on the first floor. The blaze was extinguished, and investigations into the cause are underway.
