Bullets Fired into Air Injure over 100 ahead of Pakistani Independence Day

Chaos broke out after shots were fired into the air in different areas of Pakistan’s Karachi during a fireworks display held before the country’s 77th anniversary of independence. The bullets hit and injured at least 100 people, including children. The police reported that the casualties were being treated at nearby hospitals and that there were no deaths.

Bullets fired into the air during the Pakistani Independence Day celebrations last year killed 2 and injured over 80 people.
