Bus Crash Claims 45 Lives in South Africa

In South Africa, a passenger bus veered off a bridge, plunging into a ravine near Mmamatlakala in the Limpopo province. The South African Ministry of Transport confirmed that out of the 46 occupants onboard, 45 tragically lost their lives, while an 8-year-old child survived with severe injuries.

The ministry’s statement highlighted that the bus, en route from Botswana to Moria in Limpopo, allegedly lost control and collided with the bridge’s barriers, leading to its descent into the cliff where it subsequently caught fire.

Transport Minister Sindisiwe Chikunga visited the crash site, pledging a comprehensive investigation into the incident to ascertain the causes behind the tragic accident.
