A bus carrying Afghan migrants deported from Iran crashed into a truck and motorcycle in Herat province, western Afghanistan, killing 78 people, including 17 children. Officials said everyone on board died, blaming excessive speed and driver negligence.
The tragedy comes as Iran intensifies deportations, with 1.5 million Afghans forced to leave since January. Millions of Afghans have migrated to Iran and Pakistan since the 1970s.
