One of the 25 cable car cabins in at the 605-altitude Tünektepe Cable Car and Social Facility, located in Antalya’s Central Konyaaltı district and owned by a municipal company, fell down with the passengers inside for an unknown reason. A 54-year-old man, Memiş Gümüş, lost his life and 10 others, including children, were injured in the incident. Many rescue personnel, who arrived with helicopters and fire trucks, started rescue efforts and have rescued 96 passengers, out of 184.
