California Battles Felicia Fire

The Felicia fire that started Thursday afternoon near the southwestern bank of Lake Piru in California, United States, has burned nearly 300 acres. The flames stranded 5 boaters who took shelter in the lakeside and threatened three to five structures, including homes and a U.S. Forest Service fire station.

Authorities state that the flames started as a result of excessive heat, which affected over 20 counties.
