California’s Largest Wildfire Scorches Over 145,000 Acres

California is battling its largest wildfire of the year, the “Park” fire, which has spread over 145,000 acres in Butte County. The blaze, which started on Wednesday, forced the evacuation of at least 4,000 residents in Butte and Tehama counties. Firefighters are struggling with high temperatures and challenging terrain. A 42-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly starting the fire.

Meanwhile, the largest wildfire in the U.S. continues to burn in Oregon, covering more than 280,000 acres.
