The forest fire that broke out at around 12:30 yesterday near Kayadere village in Çanakkale province of Türkiye still continues. The rapidly spreading fire destroyed some houses in villages and approached the city center. A total of 83 people were injured due to smoke inhalation, and many suffered material losses. A search and rescue officer was hospitalized after a tree fell on him while intervening in the flames.
