Çanakkale’s Heart-Shaped Lake Turns Pink Again

The heart-shaped lake that was formed when the 2,000-year-old inner harbor of the Alexandria Troas Ancient City in the Dalyan village of Çanakkale’s Ezine district disconnected from the sea over time, turned pink again with the arrival of August.

It is also possible to see the pink and red colors that emerge due to the excessive reproduction of the microscopic plant organism called ‘dunaliella salina’ due to the increase in temperature and salinity on some days in November and December.
