Canyon discovered in Elazığ, Turkey

An 8 square meters canyon has been discovered within Yağmurlu and Gümüşçay wicks in Elazığ, Turkey. The canyon is estimated to have formed around 40 to 45 million years ago and contains a stream in the middle.

Aygün Çam, Elazığ Baskil Association Head, spotted the canyon while examining nearby villages. The canyon is being prepared for tourism after necessary research are run.

The canyon is located near the two Saklıkapı and Karaleylek canyons that were discovered just 3 years ago.
