The Nevşehir Culture Road Festival in Türkiye’s Cappadocia region is showcasing an international hot air balloon event in its final days, drawing participants from 18 countries. From August 8 to 11, 60 uniquely shaped and colorful balloons filled the skies over Cappadocia, creating a stunning spectacle against the backdrop of the region’s famous fairy chimneys and natural rock formations.
Balloons from countries including Austria, Brazil, France, Spain, and Türkiye offered a vibrant display that captivated both local and international tourists. Participants praised the event, with one pilot, Audrius Lukosevicius from Italy, expressing his excitement about flying over Cappadocia’s unique landscape. Another first-time visitor, Kestutis from Lithuania, described the experience as a “wonderful feeling” and was thrilled to view the region’s beauty from above. The event, part of the larger Nevşehir Cultural Road Festival, has become a highlight, drawing attention to Cappadocia’s breathtaking scenery and cultural significance.
