Cappadocia’s Illuminated for Night Tourism

Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy announced the completion of night lighting in Cappadocia’s Güvercinlik Valley, timed to commemorate the 101st year of the Turkish Republic. Stretching from Uçhisar to Göreme, this popular valley will now welcome visitors after dark, showcasing its historical pigeon houses, Vasıl Stream, and iconic fairy chimneys through an eco-friendly, solar-powered lighting system. The project, involving 340 LED projectors, highlights the region’s natural beauty, enhancing Cappadocia’s nighttime allure. Local tourism officials expect the initiative to boost overnight stays as visitors can now enjoy the valley’s enchanting atmosphere into the evening.
