In the Shitalakshya River in Narayanganj, Bangladesh, a cargo ship crashed into a boat with about 50 passengers on board. The boat sank after the collision, killing at least 5 on the boat. Rescuers were dispatched to the scene, where at least 20 people were missing and 15 others were rescued, authorities said.
The Ministry of Maritime Affairs announced that a 3-person investigation commission has been established regarding the accident.
