Cargo Ship Sinks at Marmara Sea, Türkiye

New footage has surfaced depicting the dry cargo ship “Batuhan A,” which sank in the Sea of Marmara, Türkiye, engaging with another ship. The 69-meter vessel had issued an emergency signal while en route from Balıkesir’s Marmara Island to Bursa’s Gemlik district. The signal was abruptly cut off. The video captures the ship’s captain exchanging greetings with another vessel. The ship, carrying a crew of 6, prompted dispatches of coast guard boats and teams in adverse weather. Bursa Governor Mahmut Demirtaş confirmed an ongoing rescue effort for the presumed Turkish crew members. A crisis center has been established in Mudanya district.
