In the morning, a severe storm caused a dry cargo ship named ‘FR Pearl’ to drift ashore in the Hopa district of Artvin, Türkiye, after it had anchored following cargo delivery at Georgia’s Batumi Port. Approaching the coastline, the ship ran aground with its 13 personnel on board. An evacuation operation was launched in the afternoon, rescuing the ship’s crew members.
