The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in the US reported that the Cybertruck that exploded in front of the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas was rented from a car rental app called Turo, similar to the vehicle used in the ramming attack on Bourbon Street in New Orleans.
The bureau also determined that the driver who died in the vehicle in the incident was 37-year-old Matthew Livelsberger, who had previously served in the US Army, like Shamsud-Din Jabbar, 42, who carried out the Bourbon Street attack. It was reported that Livelsberger, who is stated to be a former intelligence operations management specialist of the US Army Special Forces, has records at multiple addresses in Colorado Springs.
Authorities are carrying out an investigation to see if the two incidents are linked.
