A cat trapped in a hot water pipe in Rzeszow, Poland, was rescued after a long struggle with the assistance of the public and the fire department. Residents of the area notified the fire department about a week ago after hearing the sound of a cat coming from the pipe that supplies hot water to the city on Cieplownicza Street. The municipality rejected the proposal to cut the pipe in order to save the cat because it would mean that 3/4 of the city would be without hot water and central heating for a week. Expanding the isolated pipe with the help of the camera, the firefighters managed to get the cute cat out of the pipe.
Rurek was reported to be in good condition after veterinary examination. The cat was accepted for adoption by the staff of the animal aid foundation Felineus.
